- Do I need to log-in to search this catalogue?

No, you do not need to log in to search this catalogue. The log-in option is for those who administer the catalogue.

- Are all the SPAB archives listed in this catalogue?

The main run of historic casework files and photographs albums are all listed in this catalogue, but series related to other aspects of the SPAB's work - education, research, publications etc - are still being added. If you cannot find what you are looking for please get in touch.

- What do the icons in the catalogue mean?

- Can I visit the archive?

When our offices reopen, researchers will be welcome to make an appointment to view archive material at the SPAB’s offices. Usual hours for using the archive are 10.30am to 4.30pm on Thursdays and Fridays. Please get in touch to arrange an appointment. Download our notes for researchers here.

- Do you have a research service?

We can carry out basic searches, identify relevant material and provide summaries, but cannot undertake detailed research on an enquirer’s behalf.

- Can I get copies of archives?

If you are unable to visit the archive in person we can provide photographs of key documents, but we cannot copy complete files.

- Can I use images from the archive in my publication?

Please get in touch if you would like to use an image from the archive and we will check the copyright status of the work etc. We approve use in most cases.

- Can I make a donation to help support the archive?

Yes, any donation is gratefully received and enables us to keep access to the archive free for everyone. You can donate by clicking the button below.
